I am currently responsible NDS’s Sales and Operations in Africa and I am based in Johannesburg. I have played a key role in expanding NDS business in Africa. I have worked with most of the major Pay TV platforms, Free-To-Air broadcasters and Public Service broadcasters across the region. I have experience in selling conditional access, middle-ware and DVR solutions.
I have also considerable experience in the telecoms domain having worked for Ericsson in various sales and business development positions. I have worked with many of Africa’s major networks including MTN, Vodacom, Celtel/Zain, Telkom and Econet. I played a key role in number of winning business with new customers such Vodacom and Telkom as well as new services and technologies (at the time of sale) such as WCDMA/HSPA, IPTV, VAS/Multimedia and Managed Services.
I have strong business management skills as I spent my early career working as management consultant for Andersen as well as KPMG where I specialized in market development and corporate strategy. I have assisted various multi-national blue-chip companies in both the telecoms and non-telecoms space. These include FirstRand, Sasol, Cinergy Corp, Kumba Resources (now part of Anglo Amercian) KWV Distell and Sanlam.
