She is a graduate of University of Lagos Nigeria, majoring in English and Literary Studies.
She was formerly a reputable fashion designer in Lagos where she ran Akenn-G Ltd a fashion house that provides costume for television commercials, movies and special occasions, until she became a part of Goge Africa in 1999.

Besides costuming the programme, she brings to bare her exemplary script - writing skill weaving out in vivid language a true story from their adventure through the continent of Africa and the Diaspora.
A charming Television presenter with her gap-toothed smile that leaves the viewer wanting more, she is also an articulate producer. Nneka is also an accomplished actress and has featured in some Nigerian home videos. As a recognition of her strong mark in Nigeria’s Media and Television Industry she was nominated the “Best Television Presenter of the year 2009” by Exquisite Magazine and given an honourary award from the Ihiala Progress Union in recognition of her outstanding contribution towards projecting the cultural image of Africa to the whole world via Goge Africa.
