Ngigi Waithaka

In the last fifteen years, Mr Ngigi Waithaka has dedicated his energy to developing enterprise level software. As the Founder and Lead Developer at Alliance Technologies he is one among the few software visionaries riding the success cloud in Africa’s Software industry. Only four years ago, Alliance Technologies achieved its main goal of building an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software that responds to the dynamics of doing business in Africa and that is premised entirely on the Open- Source platform. Now the company’s main product, and the only such solution across East and Central Africa, the A1 ERP showcases Africa’s best answer to competing ERPs from the Silicon valley (US)and Europe. The A1 ERP is designed to improve efficiency, and make all business processes paperless and is today the default choice at Kenya biggest public sector bodies including the Kenya Revenue Authority, Kenya Medical Supplies Agencies and at several other international agencies. It is extensively used by the Kenya Military due to its high security customizations. Mr Ngigi studied Electronics Engineering at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and is a senior Java and Delphi software Engineer.
