Neil Lightfoot is an engagement manager in the banking practice. He joined Genesis Analytics in October 2008 and areas of delivery expertise include consumer insights and analysis, pricing and market structure, and credit risk operations strategy.
While at Genesis Neil has led several assignments including the strategy development for a second tier retail bank in Kenya and is currently working on a long term engagement within Nigeria under the sponsorship of the World Bank that aims to build institutional capacity for a retail bank as it penetrates the microfinance market.
Before his time at Genesis, Neil worked for retail credit risk consulting and software specialists, PIC Solutions, where he was responsible for delivering projects in the retail banking and furniture retail sectors in South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia. His particular area of focus was retail credit strategy and human performance optimisation. Prior to joining PIC, he held a number of management positions at Nedbank, where he worked on several strategy projects, including channel strategy design, retail organisation design and value proposition development. While previously employed at Accenture Services, he was awarded the international Strategic Research Insight and Innovation Award for his logistics benchmarking for Spoornet.
Neil holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Research Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Master of Arts in Research Psychology from the University of South Africa, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Graduate School of Business, University of the Witwatersrand.
