Michael is responsible for investment sourcing, structuring and execution as well as portfolio management. Prior to joining ACCION, Michael was an associate at Citigroup Global Markets’ Global Structuring and Origination group where he participated in over $12 billion in securitizations. Additionally, Michael has a number of years of experience in private equity and investment banking having worked at Zephyr Management; an Africa focused private equity fund, as well as at CIBC World Markets’ Investment Banking group. Michael holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service as well as a BSBA from the McDonough School of Business also at Georgetown University. Michael was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya and currently resides in Washington, D.C.
