Over the last decade, Ms. Laura Frederick has led diverse technology and research initiatives in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and North America. Ms Frederick is a payment systems and organizational change specialist with strong analysis skills. She has advised numerous MFI/banks with their technology strategies, as well as selection and implementation of technology. She has helped to design and implement agent networks for the delivery of financial services in Uganda, Kenya, and Oceania. Ms Frederick has presented at numerous microfinance conferences on the topic of information technology and payment systems, and authored several thought papers and articles for the industry. Her work has focused on extending the reach of financial services into rural areas, overcoming barriers by leveraging technology.
In addition to 20 years of experience and leadership in information technology and microfinance, Ms. Frederick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science from the University of San Diego, and a Master of Arts degree in international management from the School for International Training (SIT).
