Kariuki is the founder of Zege Technologies, an IT company whose main objective is to deliver solutions in the new emerging market of mobile money and related services in the banking and finance sector.  He is the lead system architect and software developer and graduated from Kenyatta University with a degree in computer science. He has had a number of years of experience in the IT industry with online media and also in the banking sector especially when it comes to information systems that drive financial institutions. He has developed a mobile payment management system for use by Bank’s and Micro-Finance, and other organization that manage Collection and Disbursements Money via mobile money providers (MPESA, ZAP, Orange, Yu) 

The Development of this solution was pre-empted by his participation in the development of MKESHO, a revolutionary product that has changed the Kenyan landscape in the area of mobile banking.  Being a part of the team at Equity Bank, Kariuki has been involved in implementing the Banks Mobile banking platform as lead in technical implementation. He has worked with ATMs logic programming and graphic display and managed Equity Banks e-banking system among other systems. Most prestigiously he developed the M-KESHO integration technology that the bank uses to transfer money from Bank accounts to M- PESA

Kariuki likes fast-moving projects with great ambition and potential, product and business development, establishing and growing teams or working on technology and extensive new products/services.
