Mrs. JYOTI S. MUKHERJEE has been a pioneer in the Eastern Africa’s (IT) Information Technology field. Today she is known within the field as a leader with a bright future. Since its beginning in 1991, she has run Software Technologies Ltd. (STL) as the Group CEO. STL has designed its own brand of solutions called: “eHorizon”, a software solution that has become a world renowned name among the contemporary I.T Solutions in the market. eHorizon has won many award to be the best in functionality and usage by who is who of the African industry.
Jyoti has turned STL into an international IT powerhouse by opening branches in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania as well as operating projects in Nigeria, Zambia, UAE and beyond.
She has expanded STL’s training department in fully fledged subsidiary Company: Institute of Software Technologies Ltd.
Jyoti has been called upon time and again to motivate and share her experiences with new business entrepreneurs, women enterprises and students.
Her willingness to so frequently share her wealth of experience among the society has been recognized by many awards including “Best Entrepreneur of year 2000” by the Computer Society of Kenya, Hall of Fame award by ICT Ministry of Kenya and ICT Business woman of Africa Awards among many others. She has also served on the board of directors of “Center for Corporate Governance.”
Her inspiration comes from her goal of seeing Kenya as a proud I.T contributor to this world. And thus her mission is to use the latest international technologies to build world-class local solutions and to continuously sharpen peoples’ skill set so as to help build strong communities in Africa.
