Dr. Jabulani Dhliwayo is the Market Development Manager for Corning Optical Fibre, EMEA.
Jabulani has been with Corning Incorporated for the past 10 years. He spent the first five years with Corning as a Senior Research Scientist, developing novel measurement systems for next generation photonics components and optical fibre, at Corning’s Sullivan Park research complex in Corning, New York. For the past five years, Jabulani has held a variety of roles in Application Engineering, Product Line Management and Market Development.
Prior to joining Corning, Jabulani was a Technical Marketing Engineer with Ando Corporation in Rockville, Maryland. In this role, Jabulani supported the fibre measurement requirements for Ando’s customers including; Bell South, Lucent Technologies, SIECOR, WorldCom and New Brunswick Telephone.
Jabulani also held a lecturing position at the Harare Polytechnic in Zimbabwe where he lectured Physics, Electronics and Mathematics.
Jabulani received his PhD in Physics, with specialisation in fibre optic sensors, from the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK.
