Filmmaker/writer. Recent productions from his company Savannah Films are: Mwalimu – The Legacy of Julius Kambarage Nyerere [Documentary, 2009, Tz]; African Tales - Short Film Series [Fiction, 2005/2008 – Tz]. He is a Senior Lecturer in Media and Film Studies, University of Winchester, UK. He holds an MA in Communication, Culture & Society (Sociology) from Goldsmiths College, University of London; and is a graduate of the National Film & Television School, Beaconsfield, England, with a number of films [both fiction and documentary] and published works to his credit. From 1999-2004 he was Festival Director of ZIFF Festival of the Dhow Countries in Zanzibar, and is a founder/director of Tanzania Screenwriters Forum.
