Gilda Odera is a Pioneer in the outsourcing Industry in Kenya, having founded the second call centre offering services to international clients.
An Upper Second Class Graduate of the University of Nairobi in 1989, Gilda started her working career as a marketer in a company called Marketing Support Services and worked up to become a Director in the company, a position she held till leaving in 2001 to join Skyweb Technologies Ltd, an ISP company of which she is a co-founder and owner.
Gilda has run Skyweb Technologies Ltd for the past 6 years. In 2005, she started Skyweb-Evans, in pursuit of a passion to develop the Call Centre and Business Process Outsourcing industry in Kenya.
Gilda is a founder member and is the current first Chair of the Kenya BPO and Contact Center Society.
Gilda Odera has received the following awards:

Africa ICT Achievers’ Award, Top ICT Business Woman 2005, Runner Up

Best Entrepreneur of the Year, 2006 by Computer Society of Kenya
The above awards were in recognition of Gilda’s efforts in pioneering the Outsourcing Industry in Kenya.

Gilda is married with two children and enjoys community service. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Milimani where she has served as a Community Service Director and Club Secretary. She is also a member of OWIT (Organisation of Women in Trade).
