Folakemi Fatogbe is the Special Adviser to the Governor, and Director of Risk Management at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
Prior to her appointment at the CBN, she had a twenty-year long career in the banking industry (mostly in the United Kingdom), during which she worked with organisations like the Bank of England (as a Senior Risk Analyst), Natwest Group (as a strategist), Lloyds TSB (as a Basel II Risk Consultant), NCR Teradata (as a Programme Director), and the Financial Services Authority.
'Folakemi joined the Central Bank of Nigeria in October 2009 as Special Adviser to the Governor – Risk Management. She was appointed Director of the newly created Risk Management Department with effect from March 1, 2010.
She has an MBA in Finance & International Business from the University of Wales, Cardiff Business School (1992) and is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
