Evans Ikua is currently the FOSS Certification Manager in th e ict@innovation program, a partnership between FOSSFA and inWent. He is charged with delivering capacity building efforts to help FOSS SMEs in Africa to develop their capacities in FOSS support. In this program, materials to be used in Linux certification and training will be developed. It will also support the training of Linux System Administrators leading to the LPI certification.
Evans is also the lead consultant at LANet Consulting, the chairman of the Linux Professional association of Kenya, and sits on the advisory board of Camara Kenya, a not for profit organization that helps schools in disadvantaged environments to access low cost ICT infrastructure. He is also a member of the Kenya Bureau of Standards technical committee on IT Security Techniques
