David Poole is a 25 year veteran of Point of Sale and Software Solutions. After attending Manchester University, where he specialised in Marketing in his final year, David first supported and then sold emerging POS solutions in the UK throughout the 1980s. In the late 80s he switched to software and sold internationally opening markets in Europe and the former Soviet Union for Central Reservations systems on IBM’s mid-range platform.
In 2000 he was invited to move to the US as General Manager of Infor’s Hospitality Systems Division based in New Hampshire. After a successful period – where he was responsible for returning the loss-making division to profits by 2002 – he sustained profits until deciding to return to the UK in 2006.
David joined VeriFone in 2007 in the newly created position of Vice President Sales and Marketing. Since joining he has managed various VeriFone sales teams to achieve considerable success in the financial, banking and MEA arenas.
Married with two children David is based at VeriFone’s NEMEA headquarters located in Uxbridge near London Heathrow airport.
