Mr Cameron Goldie-Scot, Musoni, Kenya

CV

Previously, Cameron worked as an independent consultant for Triple Jump Advisory Services. From July 2008, Cameron was responsible for facilitating the introduction of mobile payment services to microfinance clients in Kenya and Tanzania. These were the first successful partnerships of their kind, and have survived to this day. During this period, based permanently in East Africa, Cameron gained first-hand experience of the challenges faced when implementing mobile banking services, as well as the key factors necessary for success. Building upon this experience, and confronted with the inefficiencies of traditional microfinance, the idea of Musoni was born. As a co-founder, Cameron was responsible for the set-up of operations in Kenya. Once the business was up and running, Cameron returned to Holland where he is now COO, part of the management team and is responsible for managing Musoni BV’s Operations. This involves a combination of setting up new Musoni MFIs in Africa, as well as managing the development of the Musoni IT system and the provision of IT services to existing MFI partners.
