CV

Belgian-born Ann Overbergh has been involved with culture policy and research for almost ten years. She is currently working for BAM Art, the Flemish Sector Institute for Audiovisual Arts, Cinema, and Visual Arts. She researches Belgian and European audiovisual industries, and is involved with European network-building and knowledge-exchange concerning policies and trends in all things audiovisual. She also advises the Flemish Culture Minister on music subsidies. Convinced that more and more of the world's future innovations will take place in Africa and Asia, she has started a PhD project focusing on East-Africa's audiovisual industries, and their transformation related to new technology.
