Andres Calderon

Andres Calderon is an Industrial Engineer with over 20 years of international experience in Score Development, Portfolio Management, Risk control, Collections and Consumer Banking in South America, Africa and Asia. He has held some of the following positions: Scoring Manager, Portfolio Growth Manager, Collection Strategist, Portfolio Manager, Regional Risk Forecasting Manager, Latin America Regional Portfolio Manager, and LA Regional MIS specialist; all of them in Citibank and more recently Country Mortgages Collections Manager in Bank Colmena, Country Risk Head for Ripley CV Financial Company, and Consumer Banking Portfolio Manager in Bank Colpatria in Colombia.
Currently, Andres serves as the VP of Risk Management within Accion, with specific responsibility to define methodologies to ensure that the risks originated in microfinance bank operations and expenses associated with the credit cycle (originations, account maintenance and collections) can be predicted and are acceptable to the business.
