As a dinosaur who’s been in the electronic media for over 30 years I was delighted to be part of the 1st African Broadcasters Conference and it was great to see that Africa is beginning to believe in itself. No matter how good this event was, and it truly was, the success of this 1st African Broadcasters Conference will only be measured by the 2nd the 3rd and so on in the future.
For my part I really enjoyed hearing that Africa is ready for convergence, now all we have to do is implement it. Let's see how far we have got when we all meet again next year.

I do think the conference was a success - let us hope that the people will act on the discussions. As the digitization alone is a big issue - and they have to solve that nightmare.
